Sharm area diving

I have a friend out in Dahab at the moment. He has just finished a DM course and is now at a bit of a loose end. He has done all the sites in Dahab and day trips to Thistlegorm and Ras Mohammed.

He still wants to do more diving out there before he flys back from Sharm on 5 Jul. Was thinking a liveaboard trip but I can't find anything other than day trips to the Thistlegorm that he would be back from in time for his flight. Any ideas?

He could always walk into any Sharm dive outfit e.g Emperor and do a couple of days at Tiran. Four nice reefs - Jackson, Thomas, Woodhouse and Gordon. Jackson is very popular and he might get to do its backside (oo err) if the conditions are right. There are allegedly hammerheads there but we couldn't find any when I went last year.

Hammerheads could be seen in Jackson's backside usually during July and August.

I believe Abu Nuhas is now reachable by some fast day boats. There are some great wrecks there that are worth diving.
