| I don't know how you spell it but "shokran" means thank you and "Afwan" means you're welcome. It is nice to be polite.

| If you're going on a livaboard with Howard Payne the main thing to look out for is a decent lock on your cabin door.

| Sudafed and Nitrox Dive instructor I know who is also a practising pharmacistalways told me if I needed it, Sudafed do a nasal spray that does not have the contraindications that Sudafed tablets do with nitrox. Boats usually got lots of meds, but if there is anything that you particularly use/know works for you, possibly an idea to take it (meds don't usually weigh much). Safety stuff to take that doesn't weigh too much, CD for reflector and hat, to stop sun burn (yes at any time of year in Red Sea) both in BC pocket and flag. BTW never had a prob with taking either gloves or knife on Red Sea liveaboard although rarely need either. Probably been said, and fairly obvious, but lots of people forget, check all your equipment, computers, torches, batteries, chargers, regs etc, in plenty of time. i.e. enough time to fix/replace anything that might need it. Its a pain to lugg something all that way then find you have wasted your time (and weight allowance) because you can't use it. Enjoy the trip, there is some fabulous diving there. |
