Ok - another couple of questions.

Is the water on board these boats ok to use right from the tap?

Are all drinks (non-alchoholic) available at any time?

Are there any snacks available at any time too?

Chocolate! I'm a big girls blouse and can't imagine a week without chocolate, so should I be bringing a weeks supply of Mars Bars?

That's all for now...I think...

The water is de-salinated and it isn't advisable to drink. If you fill up a wash basin with it, it is usually merky.
On most boats there is a plentiful supply of bottled water and they ask you to re-use the bottles, by topping up from the chillers on-board.

Usually T and Coffee available + orange & mango. If you like proper tea ( not liptons ) bring your own. They use UHT milk, so I tend to just drink black coffee when abroad.

Usually biscuits left out in the saloon and if dinner is going to be late, due to a night dive, then often snacks such as pizza slices and Formosas are brought out about 4-5 ish ( depends on the boat )

Get a load @ the airport on the way out. However, you won't be hungry due to the 3 full meals a day and as much as you can eat @ those sittings as well.

Thanks Dave - have a green for your trouble. Nothing to do with hunger by the way...just sheer piggishness

Hmmm... I put some of that stuff on a scrape I got when I was on Grand Sea Serpent. It didn't do much good - 10 weeks on I have what looks like a chunk out of my leg.

One more question...for now...

Footwear on board - what's recommended? I'm not keen on barefeet, but if that's the way to go then so be it

Most boats it is no shoes allowed at all (except wet suit boots, obviously ). You take them off as you get on the boat and if you are lucky, you get your own back at the end of the week.
