Diving Ocean, not Ocean College

Hi All

Can anyone recommend Diving Ocean dive centre in sharm. They are different from the well known Ocean college.

Im off to sharm for a week soon and their 2 dives in half a day seems ideal. (Wife being a keen non-diver).

I cant find a well know dive centre that offers similar 2dive half day trips, may be someone can tell me otherwise.

many thanks

Ben

Ben not sure how many days you intend to dive but you might find that this will be on local dive site, and to get the best out of sharm your going to need to go to Ras Mohammed (sorry of the spelling) and Tiran Island. which wont be half day trips.

Half day boat in Sharm

Have to admit to not being familiar with Diving Ocean in Sharm but I can tell you that at Emperor Divers we do run half day boat trips and the morning trip is 2 dives. However in order to fit this in in the time available the boats only visit the "local" sites closer to the marina. As Ron says you will not get to the more challenging areas of Ras Mohamed and Tiran in that half day trip. Maybe you can do a couple of half days and then sneak off for a full day to one of these areas. Having said that more whalesharks have been spotted in 2007 in the "local" sites than anywhere else!! PM or e-mail if you would like more information.

Hello mate , I have lived and worked in Sharm for coming on 8 years and have never heard of them.I would talk to Emperor or Camel which offer these services with qualified staff ( I don't work for either ).. Where are you staying .. Some centres offer shore dives aswell. Emperor have a base at sharks bay and Ocean College can offer two Shore dive locations Naama Bay and Hilton Waterfalls . Camel also have some shore access.Which Hotel are you booked into?

Most centres also offer good sunbathing on there boats too for the wife...

Hi all thanks for the replys,

From what i can gather diving ocean are based on the coast near to titan islands therefore they may be able to offer 2 dives in half a day in this region due to there location.

Their web page is www.divingocean.com, for any one who is interested.

I am staying at the concorde el salam. Both red sea college and camel state they pick up for there.

Will most likely stick to one of the main centre because of the reviews given by people who have used them in the past.

thanks again

Ben
