Diving School in Phuket Thailand

Hello

I am in the process of doing my PADI Open Water Diver qualifacation in the UK and would like to do my open water dives in Phuket. Can anyone recommend a reputable dive school? I would be very interested to hear people's experiences.

HI Nick, i dived with Scuba cat last year as guided dives - they seemed cool to me. based in Patong. just on the sea front next to the Hagden das shop.

Dived with see bees in march. German company. Excellent company. Their boats are the best on the island. Very new, and comfortable, warm showers with soap, whats all that about on a day boat.. Oh and the boats are yellow, but you always know which is your boat

They even have a bar so you can have an apres beer with fellow students divers etc. at the end of the day. German weiss beer yum.

Thoroughly recommend them. A few of the older dive guides are a little anal at times but, very very safety conscious, and only 4 divers per guide. They operate out of chalong bay but have shops in various places and will pick you up and drop you back. Just google them and have a look.

Last year in Phuket we used Calypso Divers. We were very satisfied with their services.

I have used and recommended others towards Phuket Scuba Club at Kata Beach. They have English, Scandinavian and Thai instructors and have been in Phuket a long time. I first met them in 1999 and have dived with them every time I have been there. Their equipment is maintained and their cylinders are tested, what more can I say.

I did my OW with Blue and White many years ago. They were good. A smaller outfit than most. However, quality usually is down to the Instructor. I doubt the person who taught me is still there.

Phuket is lovely, for sure you will love to do your open water course there...

Just got back from Phuket last Friday ... Did Advanced OW with Scuba Cat ... very friendly people, pick you up from your hotel, drive to Chalong to get boat to one of the many dive sites around Phuket Island. They supply breakfast, lunch and fruit all day, also cold drinks (including beer after last dive) for a small fee (very small).

Very nice people, I dived with one of their instructors Thor, Norweigian dude, really nice bloke, learnt so much just chatting to him between dives, I would defo recommend them !!!
