| Gran Canaria June 08 My wife and I are going to Maspalomas, Gran Canaria (Riu Grand Palace) for a two week holiday in June 08. My wife doesn't dive but horse rides and of course I dive. Has anyone got any recommendations for the following:- 1. Good dive centre, plus any specific dive recommendations etc 2. Horse Riding centres I've looked on the internet and got some information but would appreciate if any one has had good/bad experirnces there. Thanks Phil |

| Hi Phil, i was recommended Top Diving in Puerto Rico, great bunch there, the dives are not wonderful but they make the best of what they have, which mainly consists of: Mogan Wreck Artificial Reef - pipes and blocks, a lot better than it sounds, IMO the best dive they have to offer. Mogan Caves - not really a cave really a 40' cut out of the rocks. They will pick you up from your hotel in the morning as well, you normally have to make your own way back, but the bus service is every half hour any about 3 euros IIRC. |

| Thanks Guys - very useful information. Phil |

| I was also told (and saw for myself) that most of the other dive centres charter the two ribs that Top Diving & Scuba Sur (Top Diving's other dive centre) own. |

| Just got back from Gran Canaria dived with Davy Jones, they pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. The dives we did was in marine reserve one of the sites was called the table top. Did not think much of both sites very tricky entry and exits plus the fish life was not great. Max depth of first dive was 21 meters and the second was about 14 meters. |

| Arinaga is superb BUT only diveable in winter due to the wind and currents changing in spring. Summer dives there aren't the best in my opinion. Top Diving are superb - dived with them MANY times (as well as running their websites!) - Scuba Dive Gran Canaria With Top Diving PADI Dive Centre, Puerto Rico They also have a whole lot of newer wrecks to dive, depending on your experience.

| Oh, and they are the one of the few centres with a dive boat (several!) - and they own the island's only recompression chamber.
