Holiday Blues, time to book another....

HI all

Just got back from the red sea, on the cyclone, northern wreck and reefs. Excellent time.

Looking at Backhursts site already and wondering if anyone has done the Daedalus Rocky St Johns trip with them, or anyone for that matter.

Want more life, and SHARKS!

Also does anyone recommend a time of year to do this trip, was thinking of booking for May/June time.

Cheers all

Rob

Red Sea

If it's sharks you are after - I'd go for Oct-Dec time in the southern red sea as that is the time when you get the Oceanic White Tip Sharks - I did the Brothers and Daedelus trip late october and saw sharks on every dive at both Brothers islands and Daedelus

- Grey Reefs
- Threshers
- Hammerheads
- Oceanic White Tips

We did the Brothers trip in May last year. There was shark life down there then - mainly Hammerheads and Grey Reef, although some of the guys saw Threshers. We had sightings on all the dives on the Brothers and Daedalus but nothing on Elphinstone (the dolphins made up for that!).

Rob,

June is the time for that trip for sharks. You won't find many at Elphinstone then you need Oct or Nov for the best Oceanic action.
