| My son (who was 10 at the time) completed his OW in tenerife last summer. the water was about 24 degrees, he was in a wetsuit (5mm i think) and not once complained of the cold. He had a brilliant time.

| Hi Johnonthesevern Check out the warm waters in Phuket, Thailand and all we wear here are 3mm shorties. You can do the referal dives with the first 2 on the beach and the second 2 from the boat out at Racha Yai Island. They have choices availiable and the program above is the cheapest but you could pay the normal referal price for all 4 dives off the boats and enjoy the nice Island cruise out and back. April is one of the best months of the year with the water at it's warmest and there are loads of world class sites to dive localy once your son is certified. Exotic Thailand also adds to the adventure of the trip for the both of you especialy if you will be here on the 13th. for the "Sonkran Fesival" I hope this helps with your holiday planning and regards from Phuket Richard & Megumi |
