| Sal Algar Menorca Conor I went to Sal Algar in Menorca at the end of April Last year with my wife and 9 month old daughter. I was a short flight 2 and a bit hours I think. We hired a car at the airport to lug around all the baby kit so an easy transfer, the resort is 9k from the airport. It was sunny and warm enough (I had to stay undercover at the Bar when I was not diving but then I am from the West Coast of Scotland) my wife got a great tan. The resort is very quiet and baby friendly with a good diving center at the Harbour S'Algar Diving Menorca, discover scuba diving in Menorca, beginners welcome.. The diving was caverns and swim throughs to a max depth of 30m, I dived in a 5mm semi dry and was fine. All in all I found it to be a great family/dive resort and not to expensive so very worth a look. Ricky Last edited by Ricky2703 : 07-01-08 at 01:58 PM. Reason: spelling |

| I second this. We can come at the same time too. This way the girls can sit at the rear of the plane and yack and we can sit up front and get trolly Dollyed. Then at the resort the girls can do baby stuff and shopping in Mahon at the beutiques whilst we dive our arses off at S'algar. Gets my vote. Plus my folks get to see Camie again, as they live there. | Now THAT sounds like a plan. I have holiday to be used before mid March and 'er indoors has settled on Egypt without any prompting from me. That'll be nice for her, while I'm sunning myself in Sulawesi Gareth

| We've done Egypt with a 9 month old, no problems at all. TBH once your in your hotel you could be anywhere in the world. But the down side of Egypt for a family holiday is that you can't just pop off for a quick dive, your gone for the whole day, great for you not so good for wife and kids. Sorry that wasn't much help at all was it.

| Hi all Thanks for all the replies. So far the leader seems to be lanzarote, Malta and Menorca would be great options if it was just a little later in the year. By the way, the reason we don't really want to go to Egypt is that my SO, having been there before and being a non diver, didn't relish the idea of having to wander around an Egyptian resort on her own with a baby and I can see her point. I can't say its somewhere all women would feel comfortable on their own. Thanks again, if anyone thinks of any other options etc then please shout Conor
