Sorry to hear of your misfortune. I'm getting married next year and would hate for this to happen to us.

As the foreign office has suggested not to visit Kenya speak to your insurance company. If you go and it's recommended by the Goverment not to travel your travel insurance will be null and void should anything happen.

Please check before you go.

Good luck and all the best

I am crossing everything because we are due to go on the 22nd of Feb.

We have been before and it was wonderful. It is supposed to be a dream holiday for my Mum who has always wanted to go there but could never afford it so we are taking her.

Have you arranged your visas yet or are you doing that at the airport in Kenya?

Spoke with a work colleage of mine who is from SA and he said that unless you venture away from the main tourist areas its very unlikely you will see much trouble, unfortunatly the majority of issues are affecting the poorer townships and away from the wealthier area's, sad fact, but true. Either way, hope you get sorted in the end and that you have a great time.

So sorry to hear this Fin and .......... hasn't the wedding come round quickly! You still having people down for diving in the morning ?

Anyway, weddings are stressful enough without the added concern of the honeymoon going all wrong. Glad to hear it's settling but here's a thought should your concerns continue.
Can you transfer the tickets to someone else who is prepared, and capable, of waiting and seeing what happens 2-3 days before? If so you could perhaps sell on the holiday and arrange one that you can definitely take.

As everyone else say, contact the FO, ABTA/ATOL, insurance (who may prefer to sort it now than incur costs at a later date) local newspaper/mag re your upcoming wedding etc.

All the best hun

I've had an offer from some one on here to take a boat out in the morning but at the moment I won't be on it as I've screwed my back up at work and can't lift any thing heavier than a pencil

not a good week so far really

Oh no! You poor old thing! Will your back not be better by then? We were looking forward to a pre-wedding dip

See you on the 2nd. Hope everything is sorted for you by then.
