Then there's the Curtin Artificial reef off of the back of Moreton island which is made up of a number of small wrecks. And a bit further north is Mooloolaba, and the HMAS Brisbane was deliberately sunk off of there in about 30m of water. My trip reports are available on Scuba Addict, Australian Index Jason

Hi Andy I'm also visiting Brisbane at the end of February - so when you're back do post your experiences. Manta Lodge looks good on their website - although not much mention of it on Dive-Oz. I'll post a question there and see what the local say. Simon

Is everybody going ??? Hi Me and swmbo are off to Aus at the end of Jan till end of Feb, mostly business but have sorted some time to go diving. We are travelling between Sydney and Brisbane. At the Brisbane end we are about to book a long weekend on Big Cat Reality / Dive Tours of Moreton Bay they offer 8 dives for 400 Aus dollar which is a good price. Redcliffe Dive Centre - Diving Brisbane, Scuba Diving Brisbane, Moreton Bay, PADI. these guys do day trips and have a full calander of dives, apparently Flinders reef is not to be missed. Also have a look at Michael McFadyen's Scuba Diving Web Site really usefull web site. Chris

A few years ago I did a liveaboard out of Bundaberg up the coast from Brisbane. There were a couple of guys from Brisbane who had driven up for it and didn't think anything of the journey. Nice corally stuff etc. Plus--------if you are in Queensland, you owe it to yourself to visit the home of Bundy rum, they do tours of the works -------if you see any of their adverts on Oz telly, you will hate yourself for not seeing the polar bear in person :-) Enjoy, Malcolm.
