Singapore Airlines allowance?

Hi,

I am sure you will be fine if it is slightly over 20kilos. 25 kilo should be okay worse come to worse you can move regs to your hand luggage as they are heavy.

I did 35 kilos (yup you got me right) on Emirates. I am only allowed 20kilos and 10 kilos (for diving equipment) Had to move my weights around otherwise it all went very well the check-in lady at gatwick were very nice. They weren't busy probably why.

Do not confuse SA with any other carrier (like Emirates). In my experience Singapore Airlines is the most uncompromising at the Check-in in the UK and for Economy passengers it is 20kg with one percent of the First Class fare for every kilo over. At Singapore, they are most helpful and charge nothing. If you are going to PNG (for example) and changing carrier at Singapore, check your bags only to Singapore with SA and re-check them there with the other airline to save the excess charges on the following leg. That is what I do.

When I went I emailed them and asked for extra allowance saying it was for diving and therefore life-support etc - I had a allowance increase and just showed the email at check-in - they were fine.
