As Scubee said most of Gozo is shore diving and some sites are worth the extra for the dive guide to show you a few spots and how not to get in or out as most of us instructors are lazy b'stards and if it's easy that is where we go, The easy route. Also a very good pair of hard sole boots and spring straps on your fins are the way to go.
Kit is KISS and surface swims also are included at no extra cost.
