Hurghada dive centre recommendations
I'll be staying at the Intercontinental in Hurghada for 7 nights in early March having just completed an arduous 7 night Nile cruise . The on site dive centre is Divers-Lodge, PADI 5 star, BSAC Premier and technical etc etc. Does anyone have any experience of diving with them, their website is strangely out of date, eg prices are for 2006.

Is there anyone else I should be looking at?

Dived with them Twice. Excellent, the boat "Tiny" is very good.

Emporer are two mins walk away also.

personally i would go with emperor, but only because i have use them before and never had any problems with them.

as for being two mins away i think they have moved now, they used to be at the hilton but they have moved up the coast a bit.

Didn't know they'd moved

I have dived with both Emperor and Divers lodge and there is little difference. I think they are both great outfits..

As for current prices, best bet is to email them.

Emperor Divers is now located in new custom-built premises at the Touristic Harbour El Mina, which is next to the main ferry port and close to the main shopping area. But the best bit is that it's 30 minutes closer to the most popular dive sites such as Abu Nuhas, Thistlegorm and a stone's throw away from Giftun Island.

think they were a Little restricted by the hotel so they jumped ship to new premises.

I too have been happy with Emperor.. 3 trips in last year or so all fantastic - they even taught my 65 yr old father to dive - great service and a personal approach to training and diving.

i have dived with both. er indoors finished a padi course,

emperor are full of very professional trainers and crew.

i have dived several hilton dayboat weeks and on the infinity ...

i have stayed at international as well, great place..

go to the new stineburge hotel and use there pool and spa!

so yes emperor top lot....

I agree with all those other recommendations suggesting Emperor. I did exactly the same sort of holiday with my family a couple of years ago, and although I thought before I went I would be straining at the leash to go diving the Nile cruse was fantastic, and when we got to Hurgharda Emperor couldn't have been better.

Also dived with DiverLodge on a number of occasions.

Brill service--good staff and really friendly, i would reccomend them anytime.
did a Nitroxcourse a couple of years ago with emperor but not been with them since, i would be looking at the travel times

You are staying at the hotel with Diverslodge on the door step, climb outta bed eat and walk over to the diver centre---no waiting outside hotel for pick-ups and no being last drop off on the bus on the way back --i know what i would do.

Reikimaster and I dived with Diver's Lodge and they were excellent. They've played host to some really top divers too, so that must say something.
