Diving in the Algrave

I did my AOW with Blue ocean divers based in Lagos many years back. Diving is great good visibility but cold as it faces the Atlantic ocean. I was there in April visibility was 15-20 meters.

Blue Oceran are very good but at Lagos it is a fair disatance. In Albufeira there is a good dive center at Praia dos 'Alheiros' (I need to check the spelling). It's under new management - well changed four or so years ago and the father and daughter team are very good (Cristina and Luisa, if my memory serves em right). You used to be able to do shore dives from the neach but most are done by boat leaving from Vilamoura marina.
The dive center was called Atlantic Diving and may still be the smae name. Look through past threadsa here on YD where there is more detailed info on this.
Overalll, Albufeira warmer waters less viz, Lagos: cooler, better viz and fish life. Still there is good diving either way.
