I am there next week and have decided to take dry suit as water temps are similar to north of englands summer temps. So I would rather be toasty in the water and then take suit off on the surface if its too warm.

You called?

The water temperature is currently 16 degrees, I am in my drysuit (and will be for some time), but there are plenty of 5 and 7mm suits to be seen.

Make sure that you take a couple of fleeces for the surface interval as it has just turned rather windy again today, having just had 5 glorious days of , and the majority of the island being diveable.

Have a look at:

www.maltaweather.com

and

GozoWeather.com

They are the weather sites we tend to rely on in determining which part of the island we will dive on. You can track the five day forecast on both of them.

Will you be staying on Gozo, or will it be a fleeting visit from the big island?

I came home last week, the water was 16c. I was in a semi dry which was ok but the rest of the bunch were in dry suits . I only suffered once with the cold in-between dives when we were on a boat, the wind got to me after i was deterimed to get a sun tan!!
