| There are a lot of British kids actually born here and grow up here. In El Gouna we have 192 kids following the British curriculum in our school. We also have a great hospital. OK I appreciate coming from the UK it is the change in climate and dehydration that adds to the tummy problems. But also it is not scorching hot everyday. Last summer June was the hottest month and July and August were actually pleasant. The breeze keeps you cool. But the sun is at its strongest so you need to take care. I live here all year and prefer July and August to the winter months. The evenings are wonderful unless on the rare occasions the wind stops! You can read more about our school and hospital in the Spring edition of the elgounamag . (Plus my article on page 14 )If you come to El Gouna pop round for tea

| Hi Chris, I will let you in to a little secret, we are staying at the Conrad next week but we will be diving with Sinai divers at the Baron hotel. The Baron has 2 parts Baron Palms & Baron resort, then Melia Sinai is a little further on the beach, smaller hotel, good dive centre & dive pool and own rib for trips to Tiran, 2 or 3 times a day. A new hotel has opened between the Baron & Melia but I dont know its name, I think its used mainly by Italians. The house reef runs all along the front of these hotels as you will find out next week Cheers, Colin. |
