| I have done courses with Waterhoppers in both Corfu and Rhodes. Seem fine. Both operate under the "Waterhoppers" banner but do not seem to have much to do with each other. Greece is a ok place to learn but don't build up any great anticipation of what you will see underwater. It's a bit barren. |

| he hasn't decided what islands he's visiting as of yet. He just wanted advice on the different options of the places he could visit. Hence why he wanted suggestions. |

| Also did some diving in Santorini which was pretty good - not often you get to dive the side of an active volcano !! |

The Greek Island vary from 'Manchester In The Sun' to tranquil idylls suitable for 'getting away from it all'. Choose which Islands, then look for a decent dive outfit on the islands, as he'll be spending all his time studying rather than diving . . . ColinM |

| Skiathos is reasonably close to the mainland and can be reached by ferry. Ive dived there about 6 times in the last 3 years total about 20 dives depending on the weather you may get to dive a little island called Argo but other than that the law only allows the operator to dive Tsugriaki which is a mixture of sand an roack reef as with all site in teh med the fish life is not much Octopus Diving Center on Skiathos – Skiathos Diving Center – Diving in Skiathos Greece –Free Diving in Skiathos island There is no Nitrox or Tech catered for and dont try and keep up with Theo the owner he must have giles or a trade secret from being in the Greek navey as a Seal.

| Santorini was lovely. dive shop in Perissa were lovely with us. As has been said, life is a bit sparce, but Santorini's dive sites are grand in scale and offer nice scenic dives... besides diving at an active volcano is well unusual Land sight seeing is cool too, the archaeological site at Acrotiri is well worth a visit. Diving around Athens has not much to offer but learning there might be ok.... Aegean diving centre in Glyfada has been recommended to me before, i used them for a couple of dives, they were v nice and helpful. hth
