Medes islands in late July

I've just booked up to go to Estartit.
Any ideas on the water temp at that time of year? Would a full 3mm wetsuit + 2mm vest & hood be ok?

Im normally in a 3mm full suit and a 3mm shorty depending on where and how deep at this sort of time in the Med, if we are doing 15mt reef dives the shorty is normally enough the problem is getting shelter from the sun more at that time of year on a RIB.
Below 20/25 mts it can still be refreshing

Refreshing is a bit of an understatement. I've gone through thermoclines at about 25m off of places like Benidorm and Cabo De Palos into 17C water in August and September.

I dived the Medes islands at the beginning of August a few years ago. Water temps were 22/23C at the surface, down to 16C at depth - there are some vicious thermoclines.

I wore a 5mm suit and I was warm enough, your 3+2 should be ok depending on your tolerance to cold.
