    Diving Honeymoon Ideas Please!!!

    Hello - I am looking for a great honeymoon destination for August 2010.
    Somewhere exotic and hot with lovely accommodation and fantastic diving (big stuff would be good...)

    Budget - around £2K each and ideally for two weeks.

    We looked at Borneo so could combine a bit of culture but total for the two of us is £7k for two weeks!!!!!

    We have already been to Thailand and I've been to Egypt many times so would want to try somewhere new...

    Any recommdations or ideas would be much appreciated.

    We did the Bahamas for ours. Loads of sharks & groupers.

    Alternatively, Grenada is quieter and has some excellent diving.

    Recommend Bonaire (and Bonaire Fun Travel) the diving is great if you like marine life-not recommended for wrecks though.

    Kenya a weeks safari then a weeks diving to chill out.

    We did Malaysia and Borneo for our honeymoon for 3 weeks and it was nowhere near 7K

    Its easy to put flights and accomodation together, we did 3 days in KL, 10 days on a little Island (gem island) off the east coast of Malaysia, 3 days diving in Sipadan, 2 days at the Orangutan sanctuary and a day river cruise into the jungle, it was just mindblowing I'd highly recommend it.

    Hi.
    The brother in law and family stayed in Borneo for three and a half years and they paid him to do it with free accommodation, so it can be done.


    Oh I forgot to say he is in the Navy and was teaching the natives how to use radar, Know owt about radar?.

    we did the maldives which was good for a honeymoon. Diving was expensive and not that many big fish though.

    Carribean is also quite good.
