Nice list of rust and very intresting. However it covers all of the Red Sea plus some Indian Ocean stuff. Scotra belongs to the Yemen but lies off Somalia so its abit adventrous at present. Scotra is always adventrous as the coastline of the island is rocky and barron and the winds create alot of waves, with strong currents running out of the the Gulf of Aden.

Other wrecks are scattered from Sudan down to Eritrea as well as stuff on the Saudi side which is opening up. The classics like the Zealot and Maidan are great wrecks (the Maidan is amazing) but out of the reach of sport divers as they start at 90m+.

    Make an intresting expedition whatever.

    Greetings,
    Marc

    Hi Marc

I did the list for a guy who was visiting the Socotra area in his work and asked if there were any wrecks around there, so I thought I may as well include any others I found in the Red Sea area; obviously there will be some in depths just dreamed about too as I know the centre of the Red Sea is very very deep

    Cheers Ron

    Hi Ron,

Thanks for clearing that up. Socotra is a really intresting place but a PITA to get to! The Red SEa wrecks are top notch though I can only recommend the Maidan if you have the certs. I'm trying to get there in the summer of next year for a few days to really get to take a deeper look at the wreck. Roll on!

    Cheers,
    Marc

Thanks for the Info Ron looks like alot of hard work went into that list.
Ive checked out a couple of the positions you have stated and unless google maps is on strike it look like 1 or 2 have ran aground on the main land about 3 miles inland
I'm Sorry you have me mistaken for someone who gives a shit

    Hi Air Guzzler

I never checked the positions, but they all came from the Starke Schell registers and they are taken off Lloyd's registers (unless P.C. sent some in??)

    Cheers Ron
