    Diving Northern Ireland

    So here's the question..

I am taking the boat to Rathlin area for the start of the season to do some diving around there. Now, I have a good idea of what and where etc as regards the wrecks and sites but what I am having trouble gauging is what, given the limited number of dives in a week, would make a wish list if you were on one of the trips.

Sports diver type depths only please (I know Rathlin etc and that is a different kettle of fish) and reasons why would be good too.

I am guessing the Lochgarry and Drake would be 'musts'.. in which order..? and the other ten?

    Cheers

    Bob

If youre gonna do the Drake do the Templemore as well theyre not too far from one another and theyre about the same depths
You should do the William Mannell and the Castle eden both a bit north of Rathlin and in about 28mts but theyre well worth doing
Course the Loughgarry is the best of them imo

Loughgarry, drake, templemore - even a dip in church bay although challow can give you everythign from mermaids purses on...

Around malin ofcourse there is the william mannell, castle eden, corrientes (the micky willies) etc etc etc.

If you were to venture further south there would be the chirripo at teh tedge of belfast lough.
The bangor etc just outside strangford lough.

hi .for sure the mentioned wrecks are all good as is the north wall @ rathlin worthy of a couple of dives , if you can make it then the laurentic at lough swilly is a must as well although its a bit deeper 40mt+ if you give david vince at dv diving a shout he is very knowledgeable and will point you in the right direction ..
    cheers!!
