North Wales Wrecks - info needed

Hi all,

I'm involved in taking the club RIB upto the LLyn Peninsula in North Wales over the bank holiday and was wondering if there are any wrecks within a few miles of Morfa Nefyn (opposite side to Abersoch) on the peninsula. Ideally with some GPS co-ordinates (got to ask!).

I've got the underwater guide to north wales and it does not suggest any good sites, but only goes upto 30 meters depth, so might not include deeper sites. The charts are not realy helping either, they show a few sites but nothing much.

Cheers,

Gareth.

The Segontium is quite a good little dive in a max depth of about 32m and is about 7 miles out from Trefor. Can be quite tricky to find, however, as it's quite small and I'm not sure that i fancy your chances that far out with the current weather forecast but it could all change. Haven't got the co-ords to hand as I'm at work but I can dig them out tonight if you want?

there were some heavy nets over one side last year, nothing that caused any problems - but then we had about 15m vis when we dived her - nice wreck, if a bit small... the co-ords are in the underwater guide to n wales...
