Free Drinks all round on the Zenobia

Last week I was doing some penetration of the Zenobia off Larnaca and noticed a mass of blue "fungus" on what is now the ceiling of the lorry deck. This was a fair way in, about level with the lift shaft. On closer inspection the fungus turned out to be a collection of hundreds of blue plastic bottles which have obviously floated out of one of the lorries on the deck. The bottles are all labelled as pure ethyl alcohol which explains why they float. What is really amazing is that the Zen and its diving is owned by Russians who would probably manage to drink a bottle each on the way up if they knew they were there.

If anyone does stuff one into a pocket remember to dilute it to 30% before consumption!

LOL, when we were out there in March the Russians were intent on taking the bottles back home with them, until it was pointed out that this might not be such a good idea!

Isn't it illegal to salvage anything from the Zen? Including eggs and alki-hol.

Anti Freeze

Anti Freeze isn't such a bad thing, anyone remember the Italian wine scandal in the early 80's. I drank plenty at the time and it didn't affect me!

Well i say it didn't affect me, i don't class developing gills instead of lungs as a problem!!!

Now you know why i don't have an avatar!

Alcohol

There was a scandal where one direct sales company was pushing wine with anti freeze (unless Iso whatsitsname is an ingredient in anti freeze?????) in it, they are still around but allegedly using different suppliers! I won't name 'em just in case! ( sorry couldn't find a wine glass!)
