Hi Folks.

Thanks for the info. I've logged the dive as the Glen Shiel (note proper spelling!).

Kev W was asking about the dive on the Ahdeek. We were joined on that particular dive by a huge seal (no idea of type......big, fat and very friendly), so I spent most of the dive watching the seal instead of paying attention to the wreck. Computer logged a max depth of 22.3m. Vis was approx 5m. Although the wreck is pretty broken up, there are still a few uprights left standing. Not much life though, few small crabs and squat lobsters. Quite a lot of jelly fish in the area and managed to get the only bit of me that was exposed (top lip) stung.

We managed to borrow a RIB from a local dive club and as mentioned, launched this from Troon.

Good enjoyable day out and by the time we got back to Troon we were all well sunburnt.

Thanks again.
/Colin

Hi Colin, Troon Marina slip charges are a rip off for launching a rib.
Last time I was there I left in disgust and launched from the beach.
