Further to all of this I have now had a reply from two professors of Maritime Archaeology who are specialists in the era and area.
What we probably have are "Rhodian" type and/or "Greco-Roman" amphoras dating between the 1st century BC and 1st/2nd centuries AD. It could be a little older, but it is hard to say.
The Anchors are intrusive and were probably used by a much later ship as kedge anchors to get themselves off the reef. There no other debris found as yet so it either repaired and went on it's way leaving the anchors there or it sank somewhere nearby. Will be getting out the side scan sonar to have a scan in the vicinity and see what's there. I think due to the lack of debris from a later ship apart from the anchors would indicate either it got off or it's nearby and the sonar will tell us.
