Diving New Zealands Best Wreck

Hi Divers, don't forget if coming to New Zealand and fitting some diving in, the "Mikhail Lermontov" is a must do dive/s while here !
So make sure you schedule in 3 or 4 days while passing through Blenheim. If you like wine, there's heaps to try as Marlborough is now the major wine producer in New Zealand.
If you want to know more just get in touch
cheers
Kevin

Yep the Niagra probably wins but a little out of reach of most divers....

Kevin,

we'll probably be out there in December so will certainly give it a try - as long as you can promise that we won't get the N'Westerly's which blew it out last time we tried to dive it.

Of course we will be doing the Marlborough vineyards as well. Only got through half of them last time!

Hi Allan, allow yourself a few days while in Blenheim, try a few more vineyards just in case. The weathers bound to change after a couple of days. Let me know when you are about to be here ?
cheers Kevin

Mikhail Lermontov verus Niagara

Hi Guys, two totally different wrecks. One for trimix/ccr, the other within the range of all divers, top being about 14m and bottom 36m. So some easy dives and others (penetration) very serious. Also the ML can be dived all year round (some days out due to weather) whereas the Niagara is a serious expedition and getting the right weather pattern at the right time of year.
cheers Kevin

Mikhail Lermontov the "New Zealand Wreck Dive"

Hi Divers, vis is still great at the Mikhail Lermontov so come on down and do it with Kevin and Bryan of Blenheim Dive Centre. We have been guiding divers around her for over 20 years !
And she is New Zealand's best wreck dive ! Remember the Niagara is out of reach of most divers, other than that, you have to be a Tech diver and then organise an expedition, no other way....

So that leaves the Mikhail !

cheers Kevin
