I dived the Dunraven on the Wrecks and Reefs itinerary a few years ago and, for me, this was the least interesting wreck dive of the trip. It's a relaxed, easy dive, but nothing special IMO.

As a wreck its okay. Nice swim through, loads of light if not into dark places. Always a photo op by the prop and a swim through between prop and rudder. Often a Napoleon around there and loads of stone fish on the wall to the side.

I think it's an interesting dive. The steam engine is just about completely intact, albeit upside down and hard to see properly, though the hull isn't in desperately good nick, which at least makes it a good first wreck to get inside. Swim up to the bow and it makes both a good pic and if you grub around there's bits and pieces to see.

The reef nearby is, for some reason, home to loads of Stonefish, including a pair or reliable regulars - swim off the wreck with the reef to your left for a few mins and you'll see a lettuce coral at around 10m, a few metres further on at about 8m is a patch of hard coral that will have either a stonefish or a stonefish shaped depression in it if the occupant isn't at home.

Oh, and lots of dayboats who offer an excursion to Dunraven will do a dive at Ras Mohammed on the way back to Sharm, and that isn't a bad little site...
