Twins (Eastbourne) - Depth?

Anyone out there got accurate depth info on the Twins out of Eastbourne? Looks like we'll be diving at high water on quite a big tide (approx 6.5m).

I'd be interested in likely seabed depth, and likely average depth on each of the two wrecks.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Is that the wreck that's quoted on a local skipper's emails as being 35-50 mtrs?

It's not listed in Dive Sussex as 'The Twins". If no answer before tomorrow I can confirm the depth from info on my work PC.

The wrecks are called the Ville de Bordeaux and the Irisbrook I think. Don't think it's in Dive Sussex (I can't find it anyway).

When I dived the twins last year I did a max depth of 45.6 metres. I cannot remember what the tides where and it is possible that there where deeper areas on that day. you ned to plan for at least 46metres, sorry I cannot give you any more help but I hope this helps.

Graham.

Tom,

I've dived the twins a couple of times, but only the shallower of the two.

I got max depths of 44.5m (most of dive spent around 38m) and 40.5 (most of the dive around 36m).

The shallower wreck is quite intact, obviously can't comment on the deeper one.

Cracking dive, will certainly be going back for more at some point!

The Irisbrook is the larger of the 2 upright ships with about 35m to the decks and 40m to the seabed. The Ville De Dunkerque is a bit deeper and 48m has been recorded at its stern. We’ve had such good visibility in the area that not only can you see 1 wreck from the other but also the divers bubble trails

Thanks Jason - is that 52m on the top or on the seabed?
