Wow a year or 2 to dive the Kyarra. This seems excessive.

Yep, badly worded on my part.

However still perfectly possible and reasonable. Not everyone is a member of YD clocking up 100+ dives a year. Some only manage 10-20. Or any number.

My point was regarding qualification name does not necessarily indicate appropriate experience. This is true irrespective of the amount of time they might have been diving.

'Novice' means different things to different people. I've been diving for 20 years, yet have less dives than some diving for a fraction of time. I'd also be a novice were I to start training on a rebreather or tri-mix. I could still be a Sport Diver. Which wrecks are appropriate then?

Adrian

Blimey. No wonder BSAC stuggle to keep divers sometimes! The Kyarra differs in difficulty depending on the conditions ( like most UK wrecks ).

Re the OP, I would take people down to Plymouth and do the JEL. Cracking wreck.

Adrian - our posts crossed and I had not seen your response which clarified your original post ( which you admitted was badly worded ).

If it's any consolation I completely agree with your second post
