| Stan Hall owns the wreck but not the cargo. Not sure who owns that. |

I've actually only dived the Somali once, but I really enjoyed it. Be aware though - unlike several of the wrecks at The Farnes where you can come off the wreck and up a reef to surface gradually, the Somali lies in open water with no reef - plan your gas and watch your deco as it's easy to get carried away rummaging Hxxx

The story last year was that a diver found a porthole and was nearly out of air so he moved some debris to hide it with the intention of getting a second dive to recover it and never did. Funny that, I did the same with the pot of gold I discovered there last year as well!!! Nevertheless, its a good dive in good weather.

Not a nice way to see the coast though eh! So, another warning is make your way to the marker buoy and descend on it, but don't drag in under please.

| Stan owns the wreck but Don Cox owns the cargo, or did so, not sure if he sold it to anyone else. However a few different people have salvaged it over the years and, some without permission. What I did not agree with was Don Cox smashing Stan's wreck to pieces with steel grabs, when he did not own it and he also took sections of the wreck as well. It was all taken down to Blyth to unload. Cheers Ron

Can't think there'll be any more to gain from the wreck, apart from rusty metal now. Hopefully there'll still be something to see for us all for the future eh!
