Ok, here's another vote for the Mohegan.

Dived it loads, not that great a wreck but is huge and has lots of places to rummage around.

Hi.
Not much interest in milk run wrecks Breda Hispania etc, I prefer ones that have not been dived.
Hence "Jane" sunk late 1800's which is a sailing Barque, 30miles out off the rigs near Withernsea.

A bit deep but its like the Hispania covered with sponges and dead mans fingers, when you swim down you can tell when you are near it as it lights up the water round it with the available light bouncing off.

Totally undived as far as I no by anybody except us, and we have only managed it once, as the tides are fierce in this area, and it is a tw-t to get the shot or anchor to bite, been out three times dived it once .

There has to be everything on it under the growth, and in the silt/sand inside the wreck, needs a bit of digging.

The only thing in your face is a steam donkey engine on the deck, the rest well I no were it should be so all I have to do is look .

Well I voted for it! I first dived it in about 1987 ish. It was memorable and not just for the car crash we had just before the Tamar bridge on the way to Mylor! It was the best vis that I had ever seen in the UK and a great rummage amonst the rocks and wreckage.

I rather like diving Barrier two and three up at Scapa. You get multiple wrecks all under 14m. Its nice easy diving and great for training, especially Barrier two.

Still have a pile of lead balls from the wreck in my old dive bag

I have been on the Aeolian Skye a couple of times I remember stopping at 32 meters and looking at my buddy his mask strap was floating just above his mask where it had popped over his head when he hit the water.
I did the decent thing and put it back for him. It is a good job his mask did not fall off probably due to a small pressure difference.
Had a fantastic dive on the Volnay this Easter. The guy from the shop at Porthkerris came out and shotted it with us on the rib and I went in to make sure the shot was in the right place for the numpties. Turns out his transits were bang on and the shot was resting tight up against the boilers so we could forget about lift bags and have a cracking dive in upwards of 8m vis. Even better we didn't have any numpties with us so we had the wreck to ourselves.

BTW, if anyone happens to find a big shiny reel without a single ender lying on the bottom just off the boilers can they PM me - one of our guys had the bolt attaching the single ender to his reel come loose during the final dive of the trip.

Also agree with the Kyarra but am undecided by the Sky. Last time I was on it we got the slack wrong and the vis was non existant. Tis the one wreck I want to tick off my list this summer.

In no particular order

Tapti - Coll
Hispania - Mull
Somali - Beadnall
Maine - Plymouth area
UC 39 - North Sea
Port napier - Skye
Breda - Oban
James Egan Layne - Plymouth
Mary Crone - nr Canna
and any of the wrecks way off into the North sea gas fields, when the viz is good they are excellent. Never know what you will find, never very heavily dived due to the distance, short season, and needing good weather.

Yeah certanly not the best wreck by miles, but if you get weather good enough to dive it it's worth the trip out of the sound. Red sea viz in the UK for sure.
