| Paul, this type of construction seems quite popular for colliers in the early 1900. I have a book with various pictures called 'The Steam Collier Fleets' by MacRae & Waine. It has several examples of this type, but I can't find anything with a secondary steering wheel. I'll bring the book to Dover with me. BTW, re portholes.. the Strathclyde 1876 also has portholes with two dogs. Anke

| There was no visible damage so we suspect it foundered, although some of the wrecks in that area were boarded and sunk by German Sailors in WW1. If she was scuttled then maybe the damage is on the bottom and hard to see. At least 3 of us have been in the engine room and none have mentioned seeing any damage there.

| Paul, Have you got any dimensions yet? Doesn't matter too much if they are a guestimate, but i would need length, beam and height of the wreck. I'll then be able to give you a minimum tonnage for it..... Steve
