Hi all a few months ago Myself, Dave Earl, Emily Turton (Radiant Queen Charters) & Ben Wade (Scapa Scuba) set up the Aviation Research Group Orkney and Shetland www.crashsiteorkney.com . The idea is to research aviation history up here in the Northern Isles.

After HelenFH's post a few weeks ago about the fantastic find of the German WW2 china plates from Gutter sound it got me thinking, Hundreds of man hours must have been spent doing the Bottle Run in Gutter Sound and we know of at least two aircraft which were lost here so
Has anyone seen any aircraft wreckage while doing a dive in this area?

Bluto was a massive help with my research into the loss of the Grumman Avenger FN899 off Kirkwall and I hope some YD members may help to find a couple of the Scapa Flow losses, fingers crossed
