just finished watchin a programme about scapa. 2 yanks divin on the wrecks up there and researching the history nothing wrong in that ,but why do they then feel the need to treat the veiwer as a complete f*&k wit by pretending that there findings are completley ground breaking about these obviously virgin wrecks . i have never been to scapa and even i knew the admiral in charge of the fleet ordered the scuttling of it by opening the sea cocks and opening all the watertight doors. Irritating barstewards phew feel better now, best get back to work now.

If it was Richie Kohler et al, forgive them as they wrote a cracking book called "Shadow Divers" - worth reading - appreciate they can seem a little OTT at times, but they do have the credentials behind it all.

It has been on before - I think I made the same comments the first time it was on, and the consensus then seemed to be that whilst we UK divers know one end of a Scapa wreck from the other, the Americans don't, partly because they believe nothing exists outside their shores, and partly because history, as taught in the USD is generally about US events, not ones which occur in a remote Scottish group of islands.....

It takes a TV program to educate them.
