Sincere thanks to Gail for doing the editing yesterday, despite being totally exhausted, in pain from a bad back and nursing a sore head from what must have been a dodgey bottle of wine or three on Saturday night
He was one of the 'no shows', along with 97, 109, 117, 118, 120.
Out of a maximum of 150, we knew on Friday that we had 2 spaces, and the TV man wasn't coming, leaving 147 due. 141 divers signed in. 6 no shows out of that many people was a lot better than I'd expected. I had estimated tht 10% would be ill, and another 10% would look at how cold the weather was, roll over and go back to sleep.
for there to be so few who didn't arrive, is, I think, an absolute credit to the enthusiasm and dedication of everyone involved.
