I know there were a few YDers there, so thought it worth posting up the very few photos I took from the weekend.

I was only in the water for 20 minutes, so you'll forgive the fairly small number of photos.

Higher res photos here: Amy's photos :: Try dive if you want to save/print etc, but there's one photo I'd actually keep out of this lot...

The only decent photo from the weekend, and even that's not great!

Two of the guys getting used to breathing on the units in the shallow end

The £15,000 photo, from left to right Sentinel, KISS, Evolution+

Getting ready for a dive

Andy and Ellie getting debrief from Rich

Our man in the Midlands, Alun in the foreground

If anyone can make these photos a world better with photoshop etc and deal with the fact I was either in low light or too much light from one moment to the next, please feel free. I seem to specialise in getting backscatter into my shots, even in a bloody pool!

More to follow...

The Sentinel (it got rather a few hours put on it over the weekend, quite a few people wanted to go back and try it again!)

Ellie on the Evo

Andy on the KISS, trim getting there nicely already :) Mike checking ppO2

CCR tag, or something like it...

It is a large unit, but it is made worse because as these are people's first dives, they are at at least 30 degrees from horizontal. Having swum about in it a bit, it's very similar streamlining to the Inspo. Or at least it felt that way.

When was this? I must have missed it. I could have brought a rEvo.

Yes, the sentinel is vast. Whether that matters to you is just one of a bazillion things to weigh up when selecting a unit.

I went for the smallest unit I could find with the simplest of mechanisms - i.e. me, pressing a button when the thing tells me to. A bit like the KISS, only better :D

oooooooooh how tiresome, the revo is little more than a suped up saxo where as the KISS is more your Aston Martin DB6.

some of us have style and sophistication. You on the other hand like KFC and have spots. :D

Definitely true of someone who bought a unit in dollars 6 months ago and didn't dive it much. A nearly new Meg could easily sell for more than a new one 6 months ago, nearly 50% drop from $2 to the pound to £1.fuckall a couple of weeks ago!
