then it will likely stall the meter, but its possible it will still turn it backwards. time will tell!
I'm in the process of getting panels installed and thought I'd toss some figures at you, to see how they fair against UK prices.
Install 8 x 190w panels + 3kw inverter $1698 ( 1070 pounds)
My average monthly electric bill, $183 (115 pounds)
Government has a "green credits" scheme, you sign these over to the installer, hence the lower price on the install
The infeed tariff has dropped hugely over the last few years. When solar first kicked off the infeed tariff was twice as much as the unit cost. After about a year the government sphincter began to pucker and the infeed tariff was at parity with the infeed cost, the infeed tariff is now about one third of the unit cost.
I'm hoping it will halve my bill, all being well I will add on another 8 panels to give me a full 3kw system

My grandads electricity unit cost was LESS than the standing charge cost. I know standing charges were abolished a few years back but the sneaky companies have brought standing charges back in and "dropped " the prices per unit . so still a bigger bill for using less units.
