Our latest advertiser on Yorkshire Divers is Photobox

Photobox allow you to set up an online gallery that you can invite others to view and share. If you wish, you can then buy prints and other photo products based on your own uploaded galleries.

Registration is FREE as is the use of the online gallery so why not check their site out and register your account.

It'd be a laugh (as well as a great recruiting drive) for YD'ers to stamp all over it and show them what underwater photos SHOULD be like! Don't forget to mention YD in your profile :D
Theres really some superb stuff there Jay in the underwater section. Lovely set of b&w Thistlegorm pics. Not your usual motorbike pics!

I'll give this service a go.

I have a couple of pictures that I've often wondered whether to get put onto canvas to see how they pan out. This service will make it easy to do..........ouch, was hoping prices for the canvas would be lower but can see that this type of product has this kind of value.

Will let you know how it goes.

At risk of being repetative

I also already use these folks, their basic service is excellent, i've used a few of their specialised services which have also been fine.

They do tend to send a lot of advertising emails, but they mostly contain an offer which i have used on more than one occasion which have saved me a lot of money!!!!:camera: :camera: :film: :film:

Yet another satisfied customer. Quality and speed are excellent.

Their passport sized prints are great for c-card collectors :)

I'm taking advantage of their weekend offer of cheaper 7 x 5"s. Can anyone give me a rough idea on how many 7x5"s you can get before it reaches the 2kg limit? (Otherwise postage goes from £4 to £32!). I reckon it's some 60-80 but unsure. I've asked them but they have yet to reply.

They just answered. It's roughly 500 prints! I think I got it somewhat wrong.:embarasse

Bloody Hell!

I uploaded about 80 photos last night a 10pm.

Just had conformation, that photos have been dispatched...

Can't ask for better than that! Cheaper and quicker than another company I've been using!

Pete

Oh, is there a way of Photobox knowing that I've been directed to them by YD? or is this sometihng that they already 'know'? Just like he advertisers to know where they are getting the business from.

The best way, even if you are registered is to always go in via the banner. That way I can track traffic going from YD which is always a big help when dealing with advertisers, sponsors and the like.

Thanks!

Been using this service for a couple of years now, service has never been short of excellent, the uploading speed has also improved recently which certainly helps. Look out for the offers they do on larger prints from time to time, I had a 30 x 20 done which only cost £6. For smaller pics their print credits work out pretty cheap.

Best wishes

I ordered a load of Christmas Cards from Photobox and I'm disappointed to say that the printing wasn't good. I called them up and they immediately said that they'd redo them and I could keep or bin the first lot.

Unfortunately the second lot were bad too. Again I called and rather than redo them I asked for a refund. This they immediately agreed to and again I could keep or bin them.

So, my feelings are that the customer service is excellent and I will definitely try again but I'll not be doing cards again.

Has anyone done a photobook? I really want to try that. I also want to make calendars because I quite fancy them too. However I really don't want to have the same experience as the christmas cards.

What resolution / quality were your original images and what size cards did you order? I ordered a test run of some images taken on my D-SLR blown up to 15x12" and the quality was superb.
