I'm looking to change my current underwater setup, and have two cameras in mind. I would welcome some advice on the bennifits of these camears The first one I was looking at is the Canon Powershot G16, and the second one is a Sony Nex, not sure which model as yet. Things to consider would be functionality under the water both in still shots and video. I understand that the powershot does enable you to zoom in during video shooting, does the same apply to the Sony. The Sony is as I understand is a touch screen. How does that work in a underwater housing? I've also noticed a lot of housings by Miekon for the Sony. Are these Suitable and do you get all the functions of the controls. Which housing is best for the Canon ?

Nex in a nautical housing is small but very flexible - selection of lenses and ports available. I love my nex 5 - obsolete but great. Nautical is expensive but worth the money. Meikon- not sure I'd trust a £150 housing with my camera...
