I have heard that a few people may be looking for a job..  This is based in hampshire on the south coast near Havant..
Its worth about 30k PA depending on skill set..  this closes the end of the month..  Any intrest email me

Job Purpose: Reporting to the MIS Manager, the Network Support Analyst will perform a specialist technical role working on customer connectivity projects and on day-to-day operational activities. The successful applicant will have shared responsibility for the Production computing environment (hardware, software and network) to ensure that it meets the demanding service levels required by the personalisation business in
?
. This role requires close working with the network administrator, computer room, project teams, customers and third parties.

Responsibilities: Key responsibilities will include: administering all external connections into the
??? personalisation network (including firewalls and routers), configuring and supporting network devices (servers, PCs), ensuring that strict network security is maintained in line with the security policies to BS7799 standards, delivering technology projects, providing technical guidance and support to customer implementations, maintaining up-to-date technical documents and managing sub-contractors.

Qualifications/ Experience: You should have a minimum of 2-5 years practical experience in working with firewalls/routers and network connectivity including TCP/IP and other protocols (eg SSH, TP). Additionally good Windows networking/server knowledge and competency in Netware products.  Good problem solving skills and the ability to work under your own initiative to prioritise a busy workload are essential, together with strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical ideas at all levels. A CCNA or MCP/MCSE/CNE qualification would be an advantage

this is geek talk part of the test if you understand the add then you may be able to do the job..  Bit like Doctors hand writing  


But this is a pukker Job and if I Recommend someone and they get the job I get a swift £500..  Thats my twins..

well whilst we're on the subject of techie things... anyone on here who might be able to enlighten me why my pda (hp2210) doesn't pick up my mail via outlook even when happily active synched to my PC  - and shouldn't it work via GPRS too?

Any help most gratefully received..

Probably the rotor motor isn't connected to the type 184.dbr. If you tried switching over the cbx.548 with the 630.brt mark 2 you might find that works better!

tricky is it set to pick up the contents of your outlook inbox or mail from a pop account?

to use GPRS you'd need to pick it up from a pop (or similar technolgy) account

Ok, well my PC is set up to pick it up from a pop, I think, but I can't find anywhere to adjust this on my pda.. don't worry.. thanks for trying, I think I need to talk to the folks at hp as I really don't know what I'm talking about.
