Seriously though. I've got one that I'm "restoring" for my son but it's missing the front crank and I have no idea how the Sturmey Archers gear work.

Does anyone have any bits lying around?

This isn't it obviously but I don't think he appreciates how cool these are!

I seem to be able to get it to engage a gear and stay in that gear but for the life of me I can't figure out the shifting mechanism.

From my yoof I dimly remember a piece of chain that used to (seemingly) disappear inside the hub. This has rusted through.

The Tomahawk Formula was a special edition. Not all had gears.

Unfortunately that's now his bike. His has a little more "character"

I'm pretty sure I even had a Waffen SS uniform for my action man.

I certainly had a German guard post complete with check point and doberman style dog.

Also AM Scorpion tank that was strong enough to actually sit on yourself. We used to take turn riding down the slope at Bognor seafront.

There was also another company that made vehicles for AM - we had their scout car it it was visrtually indesructable.

I stripped my Grifter down, resprayed it silver, fitted a BMX saddle and blue tyres because I was jealous of my mates BMX.

Was f-all use though as pulling a wheelie would give you a hernia and jumping off anything meant you were likely to crack the tarmac on landing.
