Replied to your PM, but my thoughts are:

Initially I thought £25 sounded expensive, I also thought that £2.50 (10%) to RNLI sounded very poor.

Having quickly searched some of the companies I have been talking to about the clothing lines, it doesn't seem too bad (not that I'm paying £25 for a towel! )

If he wants to take orders, deal with the personalisation, collect payments AND deal with import duties as well as the simple bit of sending them out, let him crack on and do it :)

I don't like the eBay route of doing it though, although the charity part can be dealt with that way, not only will he end up with Paypal fees, but also eBay listing and selling fees.

I don't like the Ebay route either. I have offered to run it for him, but I need to know more about it. i also don't much like the idea of importing them from the US, when we could use a UK distributor (call me old fashioned, but charity begins at home, and if we deal with a UK company, explain they are to be used to raise RNLI money, we may be able to negotiate a better deal.

i was also worried about the paltry £2.50, and I suspect that until i said about YD'ers not making profits, that he say a few quid in it for himself. Call me cynical, but he is a bit of an unknown, and there are people who have had their fingers burned.
I genuinely don't think he'd be creaming anything off, the only one I saw that allowed a logo and text was £24/towel before postage.

I reckon it'll cost about £5 in post and packaging to send to YDers, to get more than £2.50 to RNLI, they'll have to cost under £17.50 including VAT and delivery and I don't think it's that likely.

If you have any idea's of towel retailers (being a man I have no idea about these things ;) ) I'm happy to look into it further, but I don't really know where to start.
