I contacted Beaver about the viability of YD logo'd hoods and whilst they can do them, it is difficult to get runs of less than 50 printed up, though they would be happy to let us have blank ones to get printed up ourselves.

So do we know of any printers that could do a smaller run or do it very cheaply (like free :D )

They also offered us the option of YD Log books which they would print up and we can get them at half RRP giving us plenty of room for profit.

Did you get a price for 50 by any chance, just wondered if there was any margin for profit for the RNLI? Obviously option B would be better if we can find a printer!

I think the Log Books are a great idea!

As said on PM, I may well have a suitable contact in the printing arena... Will have to investigate!

No prices at this stage, not sure we would get 50 sales.

I quite like the logbook idea too, I might even start filling my own in LOL

Might be worth asking the question on open forum to gauge opinion before we write the idea off do you think, obviously afetr getting prices!


As for the log books, I can stop using my Go Dive freebie I got at the dive show last year :embarassed:

Calling into Beaver tomorrow afternoon to see them and quiz them some more to see what we can get from them.

Any ideas? let me know before I go ;)

Pretty much a waste of time. Everything they will do for us has a minimum order size and a massive lead in time as they all get made and printed/embroidered elsewhere.

The only thing they could possibly do for us is cordora log book holders. They will only embroider them for a minimum order of 250 untis, so that's off. They can do them screen printed for £7.35 each with aminimum order of 30, which I still think is a stretch. They will take a couple of weeks to get a sample done, then about 3 months to get them done:frown:
