Yep

Dr Bryson at the DDRC is a very nice man. I've ended up waking him at 3am recently. What a rotten thing to do.

Quick question before I send someone off for a medical referee,
bsac rules on Diabetes
it is an absolute no no , diving with diabetes
I had a potential try diver state they had diabetes and I said I would get back to them
are diabetics allowed try dives ?

Amanda, why don't you ring the doctors on the link? Realistically, they are the one who are going to give you a proper answer, not a diving forum who you don't know Adam from Eve.

Why don't you ask on the BSAC forum?

And you are wrong, Diabetes is not an absolute no with BSAC.

I have just had a referee medical done by Dr David Adey in Woolston and would reccommend him.

My impressions were that he was very thorough and professional. I particularly appreciated the fact that he took the time to talk to me about residual risks and what I could do to reduce them further.

Oh, and he only charged £50, which is half what I paid 10 years ago for my last civvy diving medical! :teeth:
