Cable Box

I want to move my telly to a new place in the room but the virgin guy has only put a very small bit of cable on to the box on the wall, any ideas where i can get a bigger cable, its got screw a fitting on each end.

i think it will be these that u need Labgear F Plug to F Plugs Pack of 10 - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys then just use normal coax to move the tv where u want

Or drop into Maplins for either a full cable, or bits to make your own. F plug : Maplin Electronics Normally a bit more expensive though.

Thanks, i see maplan make cables but not longer than 5 meters, is there any reason not to make a cable longer than that as i need it to be around 15 meters.

15 should be ok. Make sure you get low-loss co-axial cable, this has a foil sheathing as well as braided wire and will work better.

I Belive you will need some reasonable quality cable such as this

Satellite TV Cable FT100 : TV, Satellite & Coax Cable : Maplin

And a couple of "F" plugs and a "F" Connector Socket to Socket Coupler try the links below

Twist-On F Plugs : F-Type Connectors : Maplin

F Connector Socket to Socket Coupler : F-Type Adaptors : Maplin

This is all from Maplin but any good electronic or possibly a good TV shop may be able to help
