Hi all. Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I'm fairly new to all this forum stuff

Can anyone tell me what are the legal requirements for operating a charter boat in Scotland which will (hopefully!) be aimed at anybody wanting a boat, ie: diving, fishing, wildlife tours and whale watching trips, general "trips-round-the-bay" and so on. I'm not talking about liveaboard middle of the Atlantic stuff, in sight of land is far enough offshore for me :teeth:

Failing that, who are the best peeps to ask, HSE, MCA ??

Thanks in advance.

BR.

the legal requirements are very strict and can be found here:

Code Vessel Safety

as louigi says ...... better have deep pockets

the only way to make a small fortune out of any boat .......is to start with a large fortune!
