Sorry to any of you Northern nonces, but Divernet is still down, and I can`t think of a better forum than YD to post this on. Have any of you shandy drinkers been down to Chesil Beach this weekend ? Is it divable and what is the viz like ?

It dos`nt matter where, any location from Seatown over to Chesil Cove. Thinking of going tomorrow. If it`s too rough, then it might have to be Babbacombe again

Yes it is diveable, but apres dive up the shingle is bloody hard work, I did it once a few years ago. Never again.

I was there today (spectating only!) and Chesil Cove was very calm with what looked like good vis. 3 ribs were moored up just off the beach.

That would have been us moored up, big orange RIB. Diving off chesil was excellent this weekend. Especially Sun/Mon vis off the cove was fantastic, you could see the bottom clearly while the echo sounder still read 6m.

A bit further out the James Fennel and the Barmston were also great.
