Custom Divers/Audaxpro?? Comments please

Looking to buy a wing for single cylinder diving only. I will not be moving to twins at any stage in the future. Very happy with the diving I do now so no need to upgrade/change in the future.

Having got that out of the way my question is:
I think I have now narrowed down my choice to either a Custom Divers Sportster
Quality Diving Equipment by Custom Divers - SPORTSTER WING SYSTEM

I went to their shop in Redhill yesterday and have to say I was impressed with it.

Or Audaxpro Mauna Kea
Audaxpro.com - Professional Diving Equipment, diving, sub, subaquea, deep sea, diving equipment, professional diving, subaquea professionale, articoli per sub

The problem with this one is that I can't find a stockist to have a look at it or try it on.
Some time ago I heard that GoDive (spit) were the sole importers but they certainly don't have them on their site any longer. Anyone know where I can get to see one?

I very much like the look of the Halcyon Eclipse but at £630 I think it's probably way too much money (shame)

I would love to hear comments and advice (positive or negative) on these please.

Forgot to add that I will use whatever I buy full time. ie UK diving and holiday so the weight is an issue

I've no comments on the above really as I've never dived with them. I do like the look of the Audaxpro stuff though.

Not to suggest you should choose to pay more for something else, unless you might change in the future, but if you did want to get a modular set-up, how about the frog indigo?
Frog Indigo System - 30lb Wings Learn To Scuba Dive In Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Harrogate, Yorkshire. PADI, IANTD, DSAT Courses. Equipment sales, equipment servicing, air, nitrox and Trimix. PADI, IANTD, DSAT & TDI - Learn to Scuba Diving Courses
£399 although comes with STA.

Also, where did you find £630 for the Halcyon? You can get it for £535 unless I'm missing something:
The Dive Shop - Online Store
Personally I'd still definitely get the frog over it.
Red Hat Diving Maximus wing £138

Or, I believe, if you can convince them that you are an instructor, you can get 30% off Apeks wings and backplates and stuff at Divers Whorehouse
Apeks WTX3 Cell -- Apeks -- BCDs and Wings -- Diverswarehouse
If you baulk at spending £630 on a halcyon, you'll probably cack your pants at the price of Audaxpro - my 90lb Eleven wing is £900+ according to their price list. Go-Dive didn't have any of their wings in the shop when I last visited but had some accessories on display. Might be worth ringing them, but tbh I'd look elsewhere. Spares are expensive...

The one listed in the link for Divelife has the cinch harness (optional extra), the other looks like it is the plain OPH.

Where did you find a price list for the Audaxpro kit?
The only site I can find for them is below and no prices there.

You have to email them and they send you the .pdf file. I still have it if you want it. It makes shocking reading though..
If you could make the pdf file available for me I would appreciate it. I emailed them a week ago and have had no reply as yet!
Shocking reading as in the prices? I just have to convince myself to cross them off my list but it does look like good kit!

I'm confusing myself to bits making a choice here but becoming increasingly impressed with the Custom Divers Sportster atm

Strange thing is Simplyscuba can sell it cheaper than the manufacturer sells direct!

Divelife are currently doing the IST single wing for £189
IST 30lb/14kg Wing by IST
Add one of their backplates for £90 and add some webbing and you have a perfect setup.
Halcyon is 630 quid. Ouch. Over here in Asia is abou 400.
But thats £300+ with the harnes and back plate?

That CD one looks very good value for money.

Personaly i prefer a more simple harnes for single tank diving but that aside the price would make me take a good look at it.

Mt Custom Divers stuff is getting very old now and it all still works fine. (TDB with Tec harnes)
