I just saw a report about scuba diving in the dead sea on TV. Apparently they need 40 kg lead to do that. I just wonder how to calculate the deco time. What would be the maximum depth on OC air? Cheers

It is, from a quick Google, about 25% denser than seawater. So you'd need to calculate depth on that basis.

On top of everthing else, the slightest bit of water in your eyes, and the smallest cut, are incredibly painful. If you find yourself in Jordan, dive in Aqaba and just float on the surface of the Dead Sea for fun.

i guess the old computer will figure out the pressure and deco time ok.
it will just under read the depth.

Exactly.

But then, does the real depth actually matter?
dunno.
i have been in the dead sea and it was like a very warm stoney cove but with worse viz.
did see a documentary about some wrecks in there .

i guess if its 25% denser then a 40mtr dive is really a 50mtr one .
